Eating Disorder Interventions

Clinically led interventions for individuals and families navigating eating disorders, body image distress, compulsive behaviors, and complex family dynamics.

A man with long dreadlocks, a beard, and mustache, wearing a brown shirt, is seated at a white kitchen counter in the background, looking at the woman, with coffee cups and a plate with a pastry on the counter.

Eating disorders impact far more than food.

They often affect every part of a person’s life. Loved ones are frequently left feeling frightened, powerless, and unsure how to help without increasing conflict or shame.

I provide clinically grounded eating disorder interventions designed to help families move from crisis and exhaustion toward stabilization, connection, and long-term healing.

Clinical Approach

Eating disorders are rarely about willpower, appearance, or food alone. I approach eating disorders through a family systems and mental health lens, recognizing the deep emotional, relational, and psychological components often underlying these conditions.

A Team-Based, Family Systems Approach

Eating disorders impact the entire family system. Parents, partners, siblings, and loved ones are often carrying fear, confusion, burnout, and conflict while trying to support someone they care deeply about. I approach every case through a family systems lens, helping families improve communication, establish healthier boundaries, reduce shame-based dynamics, and navigate difficult treatment decisions together.

Intensive, High-Touch Support

Eating disorder interventions often require ongoing support, coordination, and careful clinical oversight.

I offers intensive support options that may include: multi-hour family therapy sessions, treatment coordination, in-home clinical support, ongoing consultation during treatment transitions, and travel support for admissions when clinically appropriate. I’m licensed in multiple states and available for travel nationwide for select cases requiring intensive family systems work.

Specialized Eating Disorder Collaboration

I also collaborate with highly respected eating disorder professionals for complex and acute cases.

This collaborative model allows families to access specialized expertise while maintaining a coordinated, compassionate treatment approach tailored to the unique needs of the individual and family system.
